Before you begin the HP Officejet 5255 printer installation, select the connection type that you wish to use. If your connection type is wireless, connect your HP printer and computer to the same Wi-Fi network. After connecting them together, run the setup file on your computer. Similarly, if your connection type is USB, run the printer driver file, and when prompted, choose the USB Connection option and connect your devices (printer and computer) using a USB cable.

Go to your HP OfficeJet 5255 printer’s official support page.
Click the tab named Software, Drivers, and Firmware followed by the Go button.
Your OS type will be auto-detected.
If you wish to download the printer driver for some other OS type, then choose it from the drop-down menu given.
Choose the printer software and click Download.
Now, the selected printer driver will be downloaded to your computer.
